Volunteers will be assisting with community education programs and health fairs
Volunteers will assist the Outreach Coordinator in setting up, taking down and working at community booths at various events. These events can take place in Amarillo and other areas of the Panhandle. There is not a set schedule, just as needed. Volunteers can also assist with the presentation of safety education programs.
General Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older and a high school graduate
- As a part of the volunteer application, a criminal background and CANRIS (Child Abuse & Neglect Central Registry) check will be completed.
- Will meet with the volunteer coordinator, going through an interview process to discuss interests and tour of our agency
- Training will be individualized and based upon your interests. Training for each volunteer will also include an overview of our agency, observation of the community and safety education programs, introduction to child abuse prevention - recognizing, reporting and responding
