Bilingual Office Support

Bilingual Office Assistant Volunteers support the Discovery Center by helping with clerical and translation tasks that support daily operations. Volunteers may assist with organizing physical and digital files, translating materials from English to Spanish, completing basic office projects, and supporting staff with other assigned tasks. This tole is a great fit for individuals who are bilingual, detail-oriented, organized, and interested in supporting science education behind the scenes. 

Requirements:

• Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to volunteer independently.
  • Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a Parent/Guardian Consent Form on file. Contact volunteers@dhdc.org for more information. 
• Volunteers should enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
• Volunteers should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow instructions.
• Volunteers MUST be able to fluently speak, understand, read, and translate Spanish.
• Previous office/clerical experience helpful, not required.

Shift for this position typically occur M-F, 1:00-2:00PM. Volunteers with different availability may contact volunteers@dhdc.org to set up a time outside these hours.
