Position Description:
Are you passionate about education and excited to engage with people of all ages? The Don Harrington Discovery Center is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team for our upcoming Summer Camps, running from June 2nd through July 25th. As a Camp Volunteer, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating a memorable, hands-on learning experience for campers, while supporting our mission to inspire curiosity and foster STEM education.
Key Responsibilities:
We’re seeking dedicated and proactive volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks that will help ensure the smooth operation of our summer camps, including:
- Setting up and preparing camp classrooms for activities
- Organizing, inventorying, and relocating camp supplies
- Assisting with engaging, interactive camp activities
- Assembling classroom sets of supplies for various sessions
- Tearing down and cleaning up after camp activities
