Position Description:
Are you passionate about education and enjoy interacting with people of all ages? Join our team at Discovery Center as a Space Theatre Volunteer! The Space Theatre features educational shows about the space, moon and other cool science facts in theater experience. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the visitor experience and supporting educational initiatives within our center. .
Key Responsibilities:
- Working Space Theatre: Running the Space Theatre Shows, typically they are run at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
- Providing Organization Help: Assist staff members in maintaining a tidy and organized environment throughout the center.
- Making Popcorn: Assisting staff with making popcorn and cleaning the popcorn machine,
- Event Help: Support the Education Department during special events, workshops, and educational programs by helping with setup, registration, and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Passion for education, science, and learning.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse groups of people, including children and families.
- Previous experience in education, customer service, or related fields is a plus but not required.

Time Commitment:
