Position Description:
As an Event Volunteer at the Discovery Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our diverse range of events and programs. From interactive exhibits to workshops, lectures, and special events, you will have the opportunity to contribute to creating memorable experiences for visitors of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:

Event Setup and Breakdown: Assist in setting up event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment. Help with the breakdown and cleanup after events.

Guest Engagement: Welcome visitors, provide information about exhibits and activities, and assist guests with any questions or needs they may have.
Activity Support: Help facilitate hands-on activities and demonstrations during events, ensuring that participants have a fun and educational experience.
Crowd Management: Assist with crowd control and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees.
Support Staff: Provide assistance to Discovery Center staff as needed, including distributing materials, coordinating schedules, and other tasks to ensure smooth event operations.
Qualifications:
- Passion for science, education, and community engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing situations.
- Enthusiasm for learning and sharing knowledge with others.
- Previous experience in event support or customer service is a plus but not required.
