We are excited to announce our annual Golf Tournament, which will be held on October 12th, 2024, at the beautiful Comanche Trail Golf Course. This event is a crucial fundraiser that helps us achieve our goals of supporting our clients and providing the essential services they need. How You Can Help: We are seeking sponsors to support this event. Your sponsorship will directly contribute to our ability to offer scholarships and discounted rates to clients who cannot afford the full cost of a session. By partnering with us, you will be making a significant impact on the lives of those we serve. About Our Services: ● Therapeutic Riding: This program focuses on the physical aspects of therapy. Clients ride horses with the assistance of our dedicated volunteers, performing exercises that improve balance, strength, range of motion, and core stability. The horse’s gait mimics walking, which helps strengthen muscles even if the client has limited control over them. Therapeutic riding is particularly beneficial for autistic children and adults. ● Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP): EAP is a form of mental health counseling that incorporates horses into the sessions. It has been extensively used for PTSD in veterans, EMS, and first responders. The presence of horses helps clients identify and address deeply buried issues, providing a unique and effective therapeutic experience. Our clients include individuals who have suffered from human trafficking, experienced trauma, or come from broken homes.
