Panhandle Cancer Cure Foundation
PCCF (Panhandle Cancer Cure Foundation) is a local Amarillo-based 5019(c)(3) that serves patients in the panhandle who are express financial stress.
We are a safety net for patients afflicted with cancer and blood diseases. We channel human and material resources to patients who need help during their battle.
Our Goal is to help ease the financial burde of thsoe fighting cancer or blood dieseas while living or receiving treament in the Texas Panhandle.
Our History
Panhandle Cancer Cure Foundation was started in 2008 by a group of Texas Oncology cancer center oncologist, who realized that their patient needed assistance faster than national foundations could provide.
It was formed as 501(c)3 in 2009 by community volunteers along side those oncologists. Holding the first SOS (Support Our Survivors) 5K that year.
In 2013, it held Motorcycle Runs and Art Shows.
in 2015, it established a patient pantry in partnership with Texas Oncology and Texas Breast Specialists.
in 2017, PCCF took over for the Ronald McDonald House as the title sponsor of the Amarillo Marathon for 3 years. Elevating it to a Boston Marathon qualifier.
in 2021, PCCF began an annual Clay Shoot, raising tens of thousands more for local patients.
PCCF is 100% volunteer and all funds outside of operational and fundrasing expenses go directly to support patients, support groups, and patient centric activities.

PCCF offers direct support to patients going through a cancer or blood disease diagnosis, who are from or receiving treatment in the Texas Panhandle.
PCCFs supports up to $500/yr per patient to help with:

We also support two patient and survivor support groups.
These groups offer psychological and emotional support to those dealing with a diagnosis or recovering from one.
Additionally, PCCF and Texas Oncology offer a fully stocked food pantry to help relieve the financial stress of those battling cancer.
