On MARCH 7, 1951, DICK and BEA HOGAN started a mission at 322 E. 4TH STREET IN AMARILLO, TX. From this small beginning, the mission has grown into Faith City Mission, serving the homeless and poor of Amarillo.
What We Do
We serve 3 hot meals Monday through Saturday, and provide emergency overnight shelter, inclement weather shelter and day room, showers, clothing, furniture, household items and chapel services. Programs (Family Lighthouse, Women’s Ministries, Children’s Ministries, and Recovery Hope Programs for Men and Women) address root causes of homelessness and addiction. The Missionite Program provides housing and employment for men with disabilities or special needs.
