Amarillo Civic Center Complex

We are a Civic multi-purpose event center that hosts a wide arrays of events and we are the performance home to the Amarillo Bulls, Amarillo Venom, Amarillo Symphony, The Lone Star Ballet and the Amarillo Opera.

We provide service and personnel for ticketed events like Hockey, Football, Concerts, Symphonies, Ballets, Broadways Show, and other shows of all types and genre. Our volunteers will help us with the following tasks:

Ushers and Ticket Takers -  Ushering staff provide customer service assistance to all event attendees for the purposes of directing event attendees to the appropriate rooms/halls in the Civic Center, answering general questions in reference to events and the facility; informing patrons and vendors of building policies and procedures and then helping to enforcing said policies. Also, working with the Civic Center event staff to address and resolve any customer service or seating problems. Ticket Takers provide customer service assistance to all event attendees for the purposes of greeting, scanning or tearing authorized tickets for specific events, and working with the Civic Center Box Office to identify and resolve ticketing issues. Ushers and Tickets Takers will also perform the following duties:

1. Crowd Management: Staff assists with maintaining effective crowd management at events, which will include monitoring ingress, egress, festival seating, standing room only crowds, general admission, reserved seating. Ushers will also work with Civic Center staff to set and monitor queue lines, and assist with enforcing Civic Center policies and procedures.
2. Door Guards: Staff will provide monitoring and be posted to secure unauthorized access points in the venues and ensuring proper means of emergency egress.
3. Access Control: Staff will work to control access in and out of designated areas and restrict access to specific areas as designated by Civic Center staff.
4. Meet & Greets/Registrations: Staff will provide services to assist with event registration areas and artist meet & greet events.
