Who We Are
The Eastridge Mission Center serves the Eastridge neighborhood in East Amarillo by providing services that meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs for impoverished families in the area. The Eastridge neighborhood is home to many refugees from all over the world, many of whom are in poverty. The EMC was open in 2013 and became a non-profit in 2018.
What We Do
The EMC is a community center that has a gymnasium, soccer area, playground, and community garden to allow children and families a safe place to come play, socialize, and eat. We serve a free hot meal on Monday - Friday to the children who come. We partner with the High Plains Food Bank during the school year for the Kids Cafe program and the EMC itself provides the food during the summer months. We also have basketball and soccer games that the children can participate in regularly. We do Bible studies, arts and crafts, and a clothing giveaway each year. All of our services are free to those in the Eastridge community.
