Volunteer: Mentor/tour guidesThe Harrington House Foundation is searching for Mentors (tour guides), interested in the history of Amarillo and decorative arts. The house is closed to the public from mid-December through roughly April/May. Tours are given on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. and are approximately 50 minutes. Our volunteers are trained about the house, its history, and its contents. The commitment after training is for either a Tuesday or Thursday, on alternating months starting in April or May. This year we are opening in May. Everyone will be on the schedule for the in-demand Christmas tours starting at the end of October through mid-December.
