The 10th annual Family Support Services Mardi Gras Party is Feb. 16, 7-11pm at the Amarillo Civic Center Heritage Ballroom. This is a major event for Family Support Services and helps us raise funds needed to serve 25,000+ people in the areas of domestic violence/sexual assault/human trafficking intervention and prevention; veteran resources; behavioral health and wellness; emergency and transitional housing; and prevention education.
We are looking for great volunteers and would appreciate your help. All the volunteers get the Cajun buffet and time to enjoy the party when they are not on their volunteer shift. We have openings for greeters, seaters, computer help (lots for the auction program), VIP Area, Mardi Gras Store, Casino, and Auctions. We ask that volunteers be flexible on placement and shift times if at all possible. We will honor special requests on a first-come, first-served basis. The exception to that is for experienced blackjack dealers and people willing to help with the auction computer program as these are critical areas of need. Shifts are generally 2 hours and fall between 6pm and 11pm.
If a volunteer is only available at a specific time, please let us know and we will try to work with their schedule.
