The Armstrong County Museum would like to invite you to our second annual Goodnight Under the Stars on September 3, 2016, a fund raiser for the Charles Goodnight Historical Center in Goodnight, TX.
The evening will begin on the historic grounds of the Charles Goodnight Historical Center with a wine walk where guests can sample and purchase Texas wines. In addition, guests are invited to meander through the 1887 home of Charles & Mary Ann Goodnight where paintings, sculptures, and photographs by professional artists Jack Sorenson, Jeff Gottfried, and Jim Livingston will be displayed and available for purchase. The artists will be on hand, performing live demos that will be auctioned off. Local cowboy, Tommy Blasingame, will be signing his recent book, Cowboy & Roping Stories, which recounts tales of growing up on the JA Ranch. Live Western Swing music will be performed by Coby Carter & 5 Miles West and then Jodi Nix & the Texas Cowboys. Dancing is encouraged on our large, outdoor dance floor. Regionally grown steaks will be served for dinner along with sides that are sourced from right here in the Texas Panhandle.
As you can see, the night will once again be a grand celebration of Texas and the Panhandle as well as an excellent opportunity to take in the sweeping views of the prairie as the sun sets and gives way to the stars that famously shine so big and bright over Texas.
General admission tickets are available at all Panhandle Ticket outlets. Reserved tables of 8 are available by contacting the museum at 806-226-2187. Please follow us on Facebook or visit www.goodnightunderthestars
