Writing the perfect grant request won't do you any good if you aren't sending it to the right funder. Matching your organization's funding needs with the interests of specific foundations is a crucial step toward fundraising success.

The Foundation Directory Online (FDO) is a web-based grant research tool that provides comprehensive and accurate information on U.S. grantmakers and their funding activities.  Access to FDO is provided free of charge to area nonprofit board and staff members by the Amarillo Area Foundation.

Updated weekly, FDO includes details on the following:

  • Over 108,000 foundations, corporate donors, and grantmaking public charities
  • Over 3 million recent grants
  • More than half a million trustee, officer, and donor names-fully indexed
  • Over 1 million IRS 990s-fully keyword-searchable
