Texas Panhandle Honor Flight

The Texas Panhandle Honor Flight began in 2008 with the first honor flight from the Texas Panhandle.  Our first flights were filled with WWII veterans and some Korea veterans.  We saw the healing that came from these flights and knew we couldn't stop with WWII, but had to include veterans from Vietnam as well.  We are one of the few hubs in the U.S.A. who continue taking veterans of more recent conflicts.  

The Texas Panhandle Honor Flight is looking for WWII, Korea and Vietnam Veterans to honor with an all expense paid flight to Washington DC, to see their memorials.  This flight is an opportunity for our veterans to be honored, pay respect to those they left behind with the wreath laying ceremonies, and as a result, receive healing in their own lives.  We raise funds all year in an effort to reach out to these veterans in the Texas Panhandle and surrounding areas.  Our volunteers help raise awareness of the Honor Flight and help with fundraising efforts.  The cost to take a veteran is approximately $1600 each.  We encourage your company to sponsor a veteran through employee participation, or volunteer to help with fundraising events.
