Amarillo Art Institute

Who We Are

Envisioning a future as the premier visual arts institute in America, a group of local art enthusiasts led by the late Ann Crouch founded the Amarillo Art Institute, Inc. to provide art education and appreciation for area residents. In May 24, 2004, the volunteer board of directors achieved incorporation as a non-profit organization.

Since its inception, the Amarillo Art Institute has provided arts education and instruction to thousands of children and adults in our community. We inspire, educate, and enrich lives through art.

What We Do

The school provides ongoing classes led by local instructors, and brings in renowned artists for workshops. We are able to offer members the opportunity to practice and produce art in a variety of ways. Classes include painting, drawing with pastels and charcoal, weaving, and working with clay.

We are currently undergoing renovations and will soon also be offering artist studios, public gallery space, and event venues.
