Maverick Boys & Girls Clubs of Amarillo & Canyon

The Boys & Girls Club of Amarillo provides a safe place for kids to learn and grow every day after school. The club is open when kids need us most and provides a wide range of programming that equips members to beat these statistics. Members have access to programs in five core areas: Character & Leadership; Education & Career; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; Sports, Fitness & Recreation. These programs promote and enhance members’ sense of accomplishment and ability to make positive, healthy life choices.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Amarillo is to enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The overarching goal of the Boys & Girls Club of Amarillo is to provide at-risk youth from low-income families in underserved neighborhoods a safe, nurturing environment that enhances opportunities for youth, ages 5-18, to develop the qualities necessary to become responsible citizens. Club programs and services are designed to help youth achieve our priority outcomes of Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.
